μRoar
μRoar (often misspelled muRoar or muroar) is a minimalist implementation of
the RoarAudio protocol. It supports the basic protocol to stream music to a server
however do not include much controling of the stuff. Use libroar if you need this.
μRoar was forked off to enable non-free software to use the protocol in a easy
but limited way without need to implement it themself. It is licenced unter LGPLv3
while most other software is lisenced GPLv3. LGPL allows linking with non-free software.
Connecting to a free and open implementation of the server from a non-free program
is not subject to any limits by the license. A application can connect to whatever
server it likes to connect to.
